Terms of Service - RiffRoll

Effective Date: March 6, 2026

Last Updated: March 16, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and the developer of RiffRoll (“we”, “us”, or “our”) governing your use of the RiffRoll iOS application and related services (the “App”). These Terms are between you and the developer, not Apple, Ticketmaster, Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes, any artist, venue, promoter, or other third party.

1. About RiffRoll

RiffRoll is a free music discovery app that presents upcoming live events in a short-form feed and may display artist, event, artwork, preview, and outbound-link information supplied by third-party content providers. RiffRoll is intended to help users discover artists and live shows; it is not a ticket seller, music streaming platform, artist representative, or venue operator.

2. License Grant

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial use on Apple-branded devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and applicable App Store rules.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

4. Third-Party Content and Services

The App may display or link to event listings, artist names, venue information, ticketing links, promotional artwork, and short audio previews obtained from third-party sources, including Ticketmaster, Apple services, iTunes, Apple Music, and Spotify.

All third-party names, logos, content, and intellectual property remain the property of their respective owners. Their appearance in RiffRoll does not mean that they sponsor, endorse, operate, or are affiliated with RiffRoll unless expressly stated otherwise.

We may change, remove, suspend, or limit any event listing, artist preview, artwork, ticketing link, or third-party integration at any time, including to comply with provider requirements, rights-holder requests, technical limitations, or business decisions.

To support discovery, the App may use automated or rules-based processes to associate event listings with artist-related metadata, including names, artwork, preview audio, and outbound links. Although we aim for accurate matching, these associations may occasionally be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect.

5. Promotional Audio Previews and Outbound Links

Any audio previews, artwork, and related metadata made available through RiffRoll are provided for promotional discovery purposes only. RiffRoll does not transfer ownership of that content to you, and you may not download, extract, reproduce, distribute, or use it outside the App except as permitted by the applicable content owner or service.

RiffRoll presents preview audio through streamed playback with short-lived buffering only. The App is not intended to create an app-managed persistent library, offline cache, or downloadable copy of preview audio content.

If you choose to open Spotify, Apple Music, Ticketmaster, or any other third-party destination from the App, your use of that destination is governed by that provider's own terms, policies, pricing, and availability.

6. Event Information and Ticketing Disclaimer

Event details can change frequently. Dates, times, venues, lineups, prices, availability, age restrictions, accessibility details, and ticket inventory are controlled by organizers, venues, and ticketing providers. We do not guarantee that any listing, preview, artist association, or ticket link is complete, accurate, current, or available at the time you view it.

In some cases, an event page may display preview audio, artwork, artist-related metadata, or an outbound ticket destination that does not perfectly correspond to the actual event or performer. You are responsible for independently reviewing the event details and verifying that any ticket page, artist information, and purchase terms match the event you intend to attend before completing a transaction.

Any ticket purchase or transaction you make through a third-party provider is solely between you and that provider. We are not a party to those transactions and are not responsible for cancellations, refunds, fulfillment issues, pricing changes, venue policies, disputes, or losses arising from mismatched event, artist, artwork, preview, or ticket-link information.

7. No Professional or Commercial Reliance

RiffRoll is offered as a consumer discovery tool. You agree not to rely on the App as a substitute for direct confirmation from artists, venues, promoters, or ticket providers where accuracy is important to your plans or business.

8. Ownership

The App's software, design, arrangement, branding, and original materials are owned by the developer and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership of the App or any third-party content to you.

9. Free App; No Warranty of Availability

RiffRoll is currently offered free of charge. We may modify the App, add or remove features, introduce additional integrations, or discontinue the App at any time without liability, subject to applicable law.

10. Termination

These Terms remain in effect until terminated. We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms or misuse the App. You may stop using the App at any time.

11. Disclaimer

The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, error-free performance, continued provider access, or the ongoing availability of any third-party content, event listing, or integration.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data, or other intangible losses arising from or related to your use of the App, reliance on event information, artist or content associations, ticket-purchase decisions, or dealings with third-party services.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time as RiffRoll evolves. If we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after updated Terms are posted means you accept the revised Terms.

14. Apple Terms

If you download RiffRoll through the Apple App Store, you must also comply with Apple's applicable App Store terms and usage rules, including the Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
